A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Is Paperkit really free?

Yes. All 12 tools on this site are free to use without an account. There are no premium download gates or added watermarks.

Where do my files go?

Your documents stay in your browser’s memory and are never uploaded by these tools. Downloaded files are saved wherever your browser normally saves downloads. The hosting provider still receives normal website requests, such as your IP address, when you visit.

How big can my files be?

The total file limit per task is 100 MB. Your device’s memory also matters. For large or complex documents, use a desktop browser and smaller batches.

Can I convert Word files or use OCR?

This version focuses on local PDF and image tools. Word, Excel and PowerPoint conversion, OCR, password encryption, and certificate-based digital signatures are not included. PDF to text extracts existing text and cannot read scanned images.

Will compressing change my PDF?

Compression compares two lossless methods and uses reversible image filtering where it helps, keeping the original text, image pixels, and page quality. A 50% reduction is a target, not a guarantee. Images are not resampled and pages are not flattened. Some PDFs are already compact; if optimization would make the file larger, you get your unchanged original. Digitally signed PDFs are returned unchanged to protect their signatures.
